Kitty litter for dinner?

Thanksgiving Day is right around the corner and the fine folks at the Butterball Hot Line are here to help. Unfortunately, some callers are so dumb, they’re beyond help. Listen to some actual questions about how to prep Tom Turkey for our feast. Warning: don’t try these at home!

Going out with a bang…

May we get personal? Given any thought to how you want to be laid to rest? In this show we introduce you to a casket design we wouldn’t be caught dead in (puh-leeze!). Film line hint: “you like Gladiator movies, Jimmy?”

You have the right to remain silent…

Too late.  Meet a woman who told a TV news camera how she did what she did (while too sloshed to remember the camera). We play the evidence on this show. Charges should be abject stupidity and failure to stand up straight. Pity the poor criminal lawyer who gets to defend her.

Other stuff we didn’t make up…

A prison that issues checks to paroled inmates instead of the cash they came in with… a teen ghostbusters party and the teacher who crashed it… and the safe robber who forgot the first rule of theft.

Congratulations…

To the dynamite Toronto singing duo of Dala who are winners of the 2010 Canadian Folk Music Award for Vocal Group of the Year! We featured Amanda Walther and Sheila Carabine’s music here way back in 2009.

Guest artist this weekis Phil Ayoub, a MA-based folk/rocker, songwriter, coffee drinker and dog walker. We spin “Get Out, Live a Little, Love a Lot” and “Flowers At Work” off his just-released Arrivals & Departures CD with Tim Bradshaw. Big thanks to Jersey Joe at PickToClick.net for turning us on to Phil Ayoub.
