Time to retire Frosty as a holiday role model?

Frosty needs a new publicist

In the immortal words of Charles Barkley…

I ain’t your kid’s role model. Neither is Frosty the Snowman. At Christmas ’09 we told you about the evil Frosty CBS promotions had drawn up for the kiddies. Now there’s a sidewalk Frosty kicking police dogs and taking no prisonsers. No ho-ho-ho. It’s time for Frosty to go. Don’t get us wrong. Handcuffs and holidays certainly have their place. But that’s another bedtime story. 🙂

Enjoy Day 2 of our 12 Days of Dumb. French hen omelettes & home fries tomorrow. Get here early.

Holiday songs from…

Noted worldwide for their unique, haunting style, and passionate, poetic songs, October Project signed to Epic Records in 1993 and sold over half a million copies of their two Epic albums (“October Project” and “Falling Farther In.”) The Boston Globe described the band as “shimmering, with sometimes dark, sometimes inspirational, always thoughtful songs,” with music by Emmy-award winning composer Emil Adler, lyrics by poet/lyricist Julie Flanders, and the sparkling vocals of Marina Belica. Singing in close harmony, Marina & Julie have been described by critics as a “kinder, gentler Heart,” creating a vocal blend so seamless that you might think they were sisters.

Greg Lato’sMerry Christmas Mood” has a classic meets modern feel and is all about the signs that tell us the holiday season is approaching. Lato co-writes/produces all of his own music. He incorporates clever lyrics and unique sounds that hold current mass appeal. The song is a fresh take on Holiday Music that will certainly get us all in a “Merry Christmas Mood” this season.

Some promotions genius at CBS actually thought having the kiddies favorite snowman utter lines from How I Met Your Mother and Two and a Half Men would make a wonderful holiday family feature. Needless to say, Frosty the Perv didn’t go over too well with parents. […]
